LDAC is only available on Android devices running Android 8.0 or higher. iOS users are limited to AAC, which still sounds good but doesn’t reach LDAC’s bitrate. When I tested on an Android device, LDAC made an audible difference. Instrument separation improved noticeably and detail retrieval was better. The difference isn’t night and day on compressed audio, but with high-quality source files it is genuinely there and worth having at this price.
